My name is BJ Dawkins, and I wear many hats—mother, grandmother, and now, community advocate. I’ve transformed my personal hardships into opportunities to uplift others.
In 2006, tragedy struck when my son became a victim of crime, leaving him with severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and needing constant care. Instead of succumbing to despair, I founded “Collin’s Angel Consulting Services,” a beacon of hope for caregivers facing similar challenges. Through Collin’s Angel, we provide affordable guidance and support, ensuring that no one navigates these obstacles alone.
The pain deepened in 2021 with the loss of my daughter to alcoholism and prescription drugs. Channeling my grief into action, I established “HHELP,” a nonprofit dedicated to aiding individuals and families struggling with addiction. Drawing from my own family’s battles, HHELP stands as a testament to my unwavering commitment to supporting those in need.
In the face of adversity, I am determined to be a beacon of resilience and compassion, guiding others through their darkest hours. Though the journey may be difficult, by persisting in doing what needs to be done, we can always find the light.
